Camaro / Corvette Built-In Shift Knob Adapter Installation Instructions:

Separate the shift boot from the shift knob. On some models (2013-15 Camaro) this is done by twisting the boot approximately a quarter turn. Then lower the shift boot to expose a single screw that holds the factory shift knob in place.

Remove the screw and the shift knob will slide off.

Other models (2016 & newer Camaro) require that the boot be separated from the console and then removing a screw that holds the shift knob to the boot. The plastic ring should then be removed from the boot.

Insert the new shift knob with Camaro Adapter / Corvette Adapter and align the shift pattern,Secure the shift knob with the new screw that is provided. On some of the newer models the screw will be inserted on the side opposite from where the factory screw was located.

For the 2013-15 Camaro models position the rubber O rings to fill the gap between the top of the shifter boot and the bottom of the shift knob. For 2016 and newer Camaro models you may want to remove the plastic ring from the shifter boot and use the rubber O rings that are provided to keep the shift boot snug against the Camaro Adapter / Corvette Adapter underneath the shift knob. The best option for newer models is to use a zip tie underneath the shifter boot to position and secure the shifter boot.

If you experience a rattling sound while driving after installation remove the shift knob and wrap some black electrical tape around the shifter above the screw hole and then reinstall the shift knob. This only applies to a few Camaro model years.
